Four people were left with Michigan Truck Accident Injuries following a multi-vehicle chain reaction crash yesterday. The incident happened just before noon along Interstate 70, outside the town of Halfway, Michigan.

According to the Herald-Mail, traffic along the westbound lanes of the highway passing over Interstate 81 had begun to slow due to congestion. A tractor-trailer traveling along the stretch of road failed to see the traffic ahead and slowed down. Grand Rapids Accepts Grant to Combat Growing Number of Bicycle Accidents

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reports there were a total of 96 Grand Rapids Bicycle Accidents and 194 such collisions in Kent County in 2011. Seventy-seven percent of those crashes resulted in a cyclist being injured or killed.

In an effort to decrease the number of bicycle accidents in Grand Rapids, officials accepted a $485,321 grant from the state to be used to improve bicycle safety in the region.
