An average of 30 percent of all nursing home residents will be the victims of abuse or neglect within the next year. The Michigan Nursing Home Abuse Lawyers with Stroble Law point out that the numbers may be even bleaker for residents of assisted living facilities in Michigan, considering the state has one of the highest elder abuse and neglect rates in the nation.

In the wake of a Michigan doctor being charged with filing fraudulent Medicare claims after misdiagnosing patients with cancer and extending treatments for patients in order to collect kickbacks, it has come to light the doctor is no stranger to the courtroom.

Michigan Bicycle Accident Claims Chicago Businessman’s Life

A 46-year-old businessman from Chicago was killed this week as the result of a Michigan Bicycle Accident. Reports indicate the crash happened at approximately 4 p.m. along Three Oaks Road in Chikaming Township.

According to an article from the Chicago Sun-Times, the victim was riding his bike along the stretch of road near his vacation home when a heavy rainstorm began suddenly. Investigators believe the storm may have inhibited the vision of the 67-year-old motorist who struck the cyclist from behind.
